Forecasting inventory status with Shelf Vision<\/i><\/b><\/h4>\n

Whether it’s in inventory management, product promotion or in-store service, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being introduced into the retail environment, often through tools that go unnoticed but that revolutionize store operations. In fact, many of these innovations are now capable of predicting, adapting and assimilating information very quickly.<\/span><\/p>\n

As such, some AI-enabled technology tools such as <\/span>Pricer’s Shelf Vision<\/b><\/a> are specifically designed and tailored for retail businesses. The Shelf Vision, which on the surface looks like an electronic shelf label (ESL), is actually composed of a sophisticated wide-angle camera that uses a <\/span>wireless optical system<\/span><\/a> and IoT capabilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Located on the opposite side of your shelf, the connected sensors on the Shelf Vision monitor, collect and communicate throughout the day, a large amount of information about a product while ensuring the conformity of the planogram. The camera’s sensors automatically recognize the Pricer ESL located in its line of sight, identifying its position on the opposite shelf. This feature detects gaps between products, alerting staff when products are missing and shelf replenishment is required. These out-of-stock alerts are done in real time, allowing staff to act quickly and update their inventory data.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to respect the privacy of the buyers, the camera is also equipped with a sensor that has the specificity of eliminating all data and images that have been captured during the presence of individuals. This feature is associated with the data privacy policy (GDP compliance), thus guaranteeing the privacy of buyers.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Behind these functionalities, the Shelf Vision’s main goal is to optimize inventory management and make the replenishment chain more efficient.
