The late 2000s marked the revolution in labeling systems in supermarkets and hardware (DIY) stores. Increasingly, retail began to replace paper price displays in favor of electronic shelf labels (ESL). More popular in Europe than in North America, Diego Mazzone and his associates decided to import this phenomenon to the North American market and founded JRTech Solutions in 2008.
From its inception, JRTech Solutions has been involved in innovation and retail transformation. By developing solutions and services that are easy to use, we offer our clients both technological products which are adapted to each their needs. Our expertise goes from electronic shelf labels to the design of accessories, attachment solutions, portable terminals and digital displays.

2008
Partnership agreement with Pricer to resell their ESL systems in the North American market.
2009
Acquisition of “DeCa military project”: JRTech Solutions designs the ‘Automatic Labels Application machine’ (ALAM) to automatically preprogram 2,000 bar-coded labels per hour in more than 200 DeCa supermarkets at the US military base.
2010
First two stores installed with ESL in Canada: Supermarché Avril et BMR Unimat Lac Mégantic. To meet the needs of compatible and available attachment solutions for shelving in the territory, JRTech Solutions produces its first plastic rails entirely “Made in Canada”. The development of JRTech Solutions as a full turnkey solutions provider begins.
2012
With increasing demand, JRTech Solutions installed more than ten stores, notably the full deployment of Fillion Électronique, a high-end audiovisual retailer. The company was gaining a new sector: specialty electronics.
2014
JRTech Solutions wins contracts from Rona, Home Hardware and signs a deployment contract for all Patrick Morin stores. JRTech Solutions officially becomes the key supplier of ESLs for hardware stores in Canada.
2017
JRTech Solutions continues expanding with the installation of several Metro supermarkets and the Super C group.
2018
Signature of a framework agreement with BMR Unimat group to supply all their merchants with ESL solutions through 2021.
2019
With more than 600 stores and 9 000 000 ESL installed, JRTech Solutions becomes the largest supplier of electronic shelf labels in North America in all sectors: grocery, DIY, electronics, pharmacy.
2021
JRTech Solutions continues to lead in North America with more than 700 stores and 11,000,000 ESL installed. A new framework agreement signed with the Canadian food chain Metro.
